Holding advanced teaching certifications in Japanese calligraphy, Sayumi Matsubara has received numerous special awards at Japan's four major exhibitions and national competitions. Beyond her original works, she undertakes commissions from storefront logos to official certificates — certified, too, in kado, sado and kitsuke.
